Nonprofit Work
Through my work with a Philadelphia-based nonprofit, Uncommon Individual Foundation, I have been published in the local online publication, PhillyVoice. As a Media Associate, I promoted all sorts of inspiring mentoring going on within the organization and around the city of Philadelphia.
When working with a nonprofit, you encounter incredibly selfless people, and those who have truly seen it all. Between her work with the Peace Corps, work with Philadelphia schools and other worldly travels, Montana Tamny is one of them.
National Mentoring Month does not change the daily operations of UIF in the slightest. However, it does give us a reason to appreciate all the hard work and mentoring that happens every day, in every area of the organization.
It’s never too late to chase your dreams
Under the Uncommon Individual Foundation umbrella is OnUp Innovators, a series on entrepreneurs in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Nancy Volpe Beringer is featured, and I wrote this article to promote her incredible story of changing the world through the worlds of fashion.
Featured on OnUp Innovators is Allevi 3D. CEO of Allevi 3D is biomedical engineer Ricky Solorzano, who is printing human body parts with live cells and taking over the world of 3D bioprinting.
Featured on OnUp Innovators is John Graves of John Graves Productions: a performer, director and supporter of the arts. Read all about how family is at the core of John Graves Productions, and fittingly, in the city of brotherly love.
